Sutton Courtenay Against the Incinerator
SCAI aims to successfully oppose the application for planning permission by the Waste Recycling Group (WRG) to build a massive incinerator to burn 300,000 tonnes of waste a year near Sutton Courtenay.
It intends to do this by:
- alerting local people to the inherent risks
- encouraging Oxfordshire County Council to seek alternative means of waste disposal, whilst paying greater regard to the protection of the health and well-being of local residents.
